Table Tales is a literacy inspired event that has been held concurrently with the last meeting of the year. Beginning in 2015, Table Tales began as a project that served as an outlet for teachers’ creative energies and also a fundraiser. Members are invited to sponsor a table for the evening by choosing a favorite book and decorating the table according to that theme. Of course, the book should be displayed on the table! The sponsor pays $20 for the table and invites members or non-members to sit at their table for the meeting. A non-member is the guest of the table sponsor for this meeting and isn’t required to pay to attend. Extra seats at the table may be made available for meeting attendees, if desired.
